Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin has upheid the murder conviction of LeRoy DeBose, 26, of Amarillo.

A Potter County jury in 108th District Court found DeBose guilty of under in the May 10, 1975, shotgun death of Larry Don Eudy, 21, who was slain in an automobile on a dirt road near the 1600 block of N. McMasters

At the time. DeBose had been en parole from the Texas Department of Corrections for a month, after serving four years of an eight-year sentence for robbery by assault.

DeBose was arrested five days after the murder, when police surrounded a house in Northwest Amarillo where DeBose was staying. DeBose was tried Aug. 20, 1975. before jurors who found him guilty

After the jury's finding of guilty a life sentence was mandatory because the murder indictment was enhanced by citing two prior felony convictions.

Judge Edward B. Nobles sentenced DeBose to a life term on Sept. 4, 1975.
