Rondy Desean Watson, 17, of Amarillo died Monday, July 4, 2005.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Grover Neal, pastor, and the Rev. David Gardner, pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St.

Rondy was born Dec. 29, 1987, in Amarillo. He attended San Jacinto Elementary, Travis and Hamlet Schools, Horace Mann Middle School, and Palo Duro High School. He excelled in basketball at Palo Duro and also Kids, Inc. He was also in the top 10 percent of his class.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Jackson of Amarillo; his father, Ronnie Watson of Amarillo; a brother, Ronnie Watson Jr. of Amarillo; and his grandparents, Leon and Annette Jackson and Johnny B. Stiger, all of Amarillo.
