Juan Daniel Cano, 28, is accused of murder in the Sept. 27, 2008 shooting of 19-year-old Carlos Hernandez.
Police responded about 1:15 a.m. to a shooting in a mobile home park in the 400 block of Perry Street, where they found Hernandez on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.
Paramedics transported Hernandez to a hospital, but he died two days later. Investigators at the scene recovered a .22-caliber rifle they believe was used in the shooting.

The prosecution began presenting witnesses in a Pampa murder case early Monday afternoon.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys completed jury selection in the murder trial of Juan Daniel Cano, 28, of Pampa shortly after noon. Cano is charged with murder in the Sept. 27, 2008, shooting of 19-year-old Carlos Hernandez.[2]
The 31st District Attorney's Office presented three witnesses Monday and expected to continue aTuesdaybout 9 a.m. today.

Pampa, TX - The man found guilty in the 2008 murder of a Pampa man is sentenced to twenty years in prison.
The Gray County District Attorney's office says the jury in the trial of Juan Cano did not believe sudden passion played a role in the murder.
Just before midnight Wednesday night, the same jury found him guilty of murder.
Cano is accused of shooting Carlos Hernandez in September of 2008.[3]
