Update: Two men shot and killed while attempting to burglarize a home

At about 5:19 a.m. on January 4, 2021, two bodies were found on the 300 block of south Jackson Street after officers responded to a call about suspicious activity.

APD Homicide Detectives were called to investigate.

During the investigation, they learned that 27-year-old Jesus Maldonado and 43-year-old Anthony Adams were both shot and killed by the homeowner while attempting to burglarize a home.

APD said the homeowner was questioned by police and released.
