Amarillo police: Man dies after shooting outside after-hours club; suspect sought
At about 5:45 a.m. on November 14, 2021, APD officers were dispatched to the Red Rock after-hours club, located in the 1300 block of northeast 3rd Avenue, on a shots fired call[1]

The caller told dispatch that at least one person had been shot in the parking lot. The caller said that multiple rounds had been fired, and people were leaving the scene.
During the officers' investigation, victims with gunshot wounds and other injuries began arriving at local hospitals. One gunshot victim, Randolph Sims, 26, died at the hospital. Others suffered non-life threatening injuries, the news release stated.
A suspect has been identified, and a warrant is forthcoming, Amarillo police said Sunday afternoon.
Bond pulled for man charged in 2021 Amarillo murder; Trial set for 2026
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A man charged with murder is back in jail after his bond was pulled.
Potter County Detention Center’s jail roster shows Aberiel Rashaud Westmoreland, 39, was booked into the facility yesterday.
Westmoreland is accused of fatally shooting a man in north Amarillo on November 14, 2021.
On that day, Amarillo police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of North Houston Street and Northeast 3rd Avenue.[2]
They traced the caller to the parking lot of Red Rocks after hours club. Witnesses reported that multiple rounds were fired and many people fled.
As officers investigated the incident, there were reports of multiple victims arriving at local hospitals with gunshot wounds and other injuries.
While most were non-life threatening, 26-year-old Randolph Sims died from his injuries.
Police arrested Westmoreland for the murder of Sims several weeks later.
Court records show that Westmoreland retained local attorney Jesse Quackenbush to represent him and posted a bond of $75,000 in February 2022.

Since then, Westmoreland remained free on bond and followed the conditions set forth by the State. Several tentative trial dates were set, then passed.
In October 2025, Quackenbush filed a motion to withdraw from the case. The docket entry reads that Westmoreland was unable to keep his bill current due to a disability.
Attorney James Woolridge replaced Quackenbush as counsel for Westmoreland.
Yesterday, law enforcement arrested Westmoreland at a residence near 34th Avenue and South Harrison following a bond surrender. The reason for the bond surrender is not known at this time.
He was booked into Potter County jail where a district judge will decide if he will have a new bond set.
A trial date is set for March 2026.
