Murder warrant issued after missing teen's body found in Randall County
Deputies with the Randall County Sheriff's Office were contacted on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at about 6:30 p.m. by Amarillo Police Department Homicide detectives regarding a possible homicide in rural Randall County.
APD detectives had information pointing towards the eastern part of the county near FM 1258. RCSO deputies and investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded.
In the area, they uncovered the body of a dead male. Randall County Justice of the Peace Byrd was notified and ordered an autopsy, which was conducted on Friday, in Lubbock.
The body was identified as 19-year-old Jonathan Mullins.
Mullins had been missing for about two weeks at the time his body was found.
October 27, 2020
On October 27, 2020, a murder warrant was issued for 22-year-old Christian Joel Deleon in connection with the murder of Mullins.
Deleon was already in custody, authorities said.[1]
