Shooting leaves one dead on Trigg Street

Amarillo police officers responded to a medical call just before 8 a.m. on September 22, 2021 in the 1100 block of Trigg Street where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers attempted lifesaving measures when they found the victim but were unsuccessful in their efforts. The victim died on the scene.

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Carlos Felipe Ruiz.
