Carlos Felipe Ruiz, 38, was shot and killed inside his Amarillo home on September 22, 2021. Officers responding to the area of Trigg Street and Southeast 10th Avenue found Ruiz wounded and attempted lifesaving measures, but he died at the scene.^[1]

Police renewed their request for information several weeks later. No suspect, motive or arrest has been publicly announced, leaving the murder publicly unresolved.
