Angelica Armadillo homicide

Angelica Armadillo, 22, died after being stabbed during a fight at a residence in the 3700 block of Teckla Boulevard in Amarillo, Texas, on the evening of December 12, 2016. Police arrested Tori Renee Miranda, 23, for murder in connection with the killing, and a second person at the scene, Patricio Ramirez, 24, on unrelated drug and evidence-tampering charges.
The stabbing
On Monday, December 12, 2016, at approximately 9:44 p.m., officers of the Amarillo Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 3700 block of Teckla Boulevard on a report of a fight. When officers arrived, they were advised that one person had been stabbed. Several people were detained at the residence. Ambulance personnel treated the stabbing victim, who was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The victim was identified as Angelica Armadillo, 22. Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn ordered an autopsy, performed the following Wednesday in Lubbock (The Amarillo Pioneer; KFDA NewsChannel 10).

Two arrests were made in connection with the incident. Tori Renee Miranda, 23, was arrested for murder. Patricio Ramirez, 24 (also reported in initial coverage as "Patrick Bobby Ramirez" before Randall County jail records clarified his name), was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance — Penalty Group 1, over 4 grams and under 200 grams — and tampering with evidence. Both were booked into the Randall County jail (KFDA NewsChannel 10).
