MCCLINTON, Jimmy Dale

Jimmy Dale McClinton, affectionately known by friends and family as Jimmy, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the age of 73 in Kingsland, Texas. Born on July 10, 1952, in Waco, Texas, Jimmy led a life marked by adventure, kindness, and a deep love for his family, friends, and animals.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Goldie Ivey, who was his constant companion and greatest supporter. He leaves behind his devoted sisters, Stephanie Garrett and Katherine McClinton, who will forever cherish their brother's memory. He was a proud uncle to his nephews, Jay, spouse to Troye McClinton, Matt McClinton, and a host of great nieces and nephews, as well as extended family who loved him dearly.

After joining the Army at the tender age of 17, Jimmy embraced the opportunity to see the world, forging a path that would define his adventurous spirit. Upon his return to civilian life, his passion for travel persisted, and together with his loyal dog, they traversed numerous landscapes, creating stories that would be recounted with warmth and laughter for years to come.

Professionally, Jimmy was a skilled and certificated ASC mechanic, a trade that suited his natural propensity for tinkering with anything mechanical. His hands were rarely still, always finding solace and joy in the intricacies of engines and machines.

In his free time, Jimmy was never happier than when he was with his animals, showering them with the same loving and gentle kindness he showed to everyone he met. These traits, along with his thirst for adventure, painted the picture of a man who lived his life with a tender heart and a zest for new experiences.

Jimmy's passing leaves an unfillable void in the lives of those he touched. However, his enduring love for his family, his enduring generosity of spirit, and his unquenchable curiosity about the world around him will serve as a beacon for those he leaves behind. Gentle, loving, and endlessly adventurous, Jimmy Dale McClinton will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
