Texas Rangers investigating murder of woman found dead at RV park in Happy

Tess Birkenfeld, 29, was found dead Wednesday at Happy RV Park. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

SWISHER COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — The Texas Rangers are investigating a murder in Happy.

The Swisher County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to the Happy RV Park about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

They found the body of 29-year-old Tess Birkenfeld.

Her body was sent for an autopsy

A cause of death has not been released.

There are no details on the suspect.

The sheriff's office and Tulia Police Department are assiting the Texas Rangers with the investigation.

Man arrested for murder after woman found dead in mobile home at Happy RV

A man was arrested today for murder after a woman was found dead at a mobile home in Happy last week.

According to the release, today the Texas Rangers arrested 21-year-old Eduardo Reyna Barrientos for the murder of 29-year-old Tess Birkenfield.

Barrientos was booked into the Swisher County Jail.

He is being held on a $250,000 bond.

The Texas Rangers, Swisher & Briscoe County Sheriff’s Offices, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and The Tulia Police Department all assisted in the investigation.
