Woman charged after drunk-driving accident kills motorcyclist

On July 29, 2021, charges were filed against a Randall County woman for a fatal June wreck involving a motorcyclist.

Isabell Starr Ramirez was indicted for intoxication manslaughter for causing the accident that claimed the life of Samuel Tolley, who died afterwards from his injuries.

At the time, court documents noted, Ramirez both admitted to drinking alcohol and was arrested, with a blood draw coming back with a blood alcohol concentration of .185.[1]

The criminal complaint filed on July 16 set Ramirez’s bond at $25,000.
