Amarillo Fire releases information on Sunday structure fire

Officials with the Amarillo Fire Department released information regarding a structure fire near Downtown Amarillo Sunday afternoon.

According to a news release from the department, officials responded to a reported structure fire in the 100 block of S. Monroe Sunday afternoon.

Crews arrived at around 4:14 p.m. and found smoke and fire coming from a single unit of an abandoned apartment building. Crews entered the building and had the fire under control by 4:24 p.m.[1]
