Drug Arrest – Terry Deon Noble

Terry Noble

Terry Deon Noble, 46, of Amarillo, was arrested on felony drug charges after attempting to provoke officers in an unmarked car to engage in a street race in the early morning hours of a Thursday.[1]

Incident

At the intersection of Southeast Tenth Avenue and South Fillmore Street, Noble pulled up next to officers in his red Ford Mustang while they were at a red light. When the light turned green, Noble took off with his tires squealing on the pavement.

The officers immediately flashed their lights to pull the Mustang over in the next block.

Search and Discovery

Police asked Noble to step out of his car after they noticed a handgun case in the passenger seat. When they looked inside the box, they found several bags of methamphetamine.

Noble was arrested and booked into Potter County Jail on the following charges:

Later Federal Indictment

According to federal court records, Noble was later indicted in a DEA-led operation called "Operation Put It In Reverse" targeting alleged drug traffickers in the Texas Panhandle. The indictment included charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine under 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(C). Noble pleaded guilty to the federal charges.
