Suade Fisher was killed and four other people were wounded during a shooting at an after-hours club at 1003 North Fillmore Street on May 15, 2022. Contemporary police reports listed Fisher as 25, although his obituary indicates he was 24.

Police were called at approximately 4:14 a.m., but no victims remained when officers arrived. Five people subsequently reached local hospitals, where Fisher died. One victim suffered life-threatening injuries, while three others had injuries that were not considered life-threatening.^[1]

Between 75 and 100 people may have been inside the club when the gunfire began. Police said the violence was connected to an earlier shooting in the 500 block of North Fillmore Street. No arrest in Fisher’s death has been publicly documented.^[2]

Fisher’s family remembered the former Tascosa Rebels football player as carefree, funny and devoted to his friends and relatives.
