Mohamad Al Obeidi — 2022

Mohamad Al Obeidi, 42, was beaten to death during a disturbance in Amarillo’s Eastridge neighborhood on May 27, 2022.^[1]

Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Bluebell Street at approximately 1:15 a.m. and found Al Obeidi with injuries consistent with blunt-force trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said several people had been involved in a physical altercation. Everyone present was detained and interviewed, but no immediate arrests were made. No subsequent charge or resolution has been publicly reported.
